Obituary for Stacey Deanna Milbourne-Taylor

Stacey Deanna Milbourne-Taylor
Stacey Deanna Milbourne-Taylor, heard the call of the Lord and gently took the Master’s hand on May 4, 2018, surrounded by her loving family. She was born on June 7, 1965 to Terry and Justine Holden and Umar Saddiq.

Stacey was a 1983 graduate of Arcadia High School and later attended the Eastern Shore Community College, where she studied Business.

Stacey worked at various local businesses during her life including: Eastern Shore Seafood and Perdue Farms. For the last twenty-nine years, she was employed by Tyson Foods, Inc., formerly Holly Farms. She was dedicated and would work even when physically, she felt unable to.

At an early age, Stacey joined St. Mark United Methodist Church in New Church, Virginia. Recently she joined St. John’s United Methodist Church in Atlantic, Virginia. She found a special joy in hearing her pastor preach. She would often tell people that “Miller preached a hole in the wall.”

Stacey was a very loving and kind person and merely enjoyed the simple things in life. She loved to eat, shop, and spend time with her granddaughter, “Pickle.” She was greatly loved and will be sadly missed by all.

Stacey was preceded in death by her maternal grandparents, Upshur and Mabel Milbourne; paternal grandparents, James and Thelma Neal; uncles, John Milbourne and William Wharton; aunts, Kathryne Ferrell, Lucille Fletcher, Doris Milbourne, and Martha Matthews; and cousin, Marvin Fletcher.

Stacey leaves to mourn: her only daughter, Tierra S. Milbourne (Kenneth Davis) of Withams, VA; loving parents, Terry and Justine Holden of Salisbury, MD; father, Umar Saddiq of Knoxville, TN; grandparents, Donnie and Larue Holden of Withams, VA; two sisters, Tanya (Brice) Davis of Salisbury, MD and Katie Saddiq of Nashville, TN; three grandchildren, Kadin, Kason, and special granddaughter, Kailah “Pickle” Davis; three aunts, Phyllis Wharton, Joan (Ronald) Forsythe, and Patricia (Gary) Miller; four uncles, Donald (Catherine) Milbourne, Ronnie (Brenda) Holden, Charles (Carrie) Neal, and Frank Neal; two nieces, Deanna and Tamira; three nephews, Brice, Jr., Brandon, and Parker; special cousin, Gerald Wharton; goddaughter, Whitney Hinmon; special daughter that she loved as her own, Jontae Persinger; friends that had a sisterly bond, also known as the “Withams Girls,” Sarah “Homefries,” Montrose “Tootie,” Gloria “Slick,” and Trina “Bean;” and a host of other relatives and friends.
