Diane Marshal Boggs, affectionately known as “Momma, Ma, Grandma, Aunt Di, and Sister Di”, was the beloved daughter of the late Mabel Dix and Ralph Nichols. She departed this life on Wednesday, April 18, 2018, at Riverside Shore Memorial Hospital in Onancock, Virginia.
Diane was born April 13, 1948, in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. She attended the public schools of Accomack County, Virginia. On September 13, 1964, Diane married the late Kenneth Boggs Sr. and they were blessed with many years of happiness.
On July 18, 1999, Diane accepted the Lord as her personal Savior, and she joined Miracle Temple of Faith, under the Leadership of Apostle Linwood and Pastor Diane Wright. One of Diane’s favorite scriptures was Psalms 118:17, “I shall not die, but live, and declare the works of the Lord”, that was her motto that she stuck with until God, in his infinite wisdom, called her to eternal rest.
Diane was employed with Perdue Farms, in Accomac, Virginia, for over thirty years until her retirement. There she met, and continually kept in contact with many friends. Diane was a very kind-hearted, friendly, and caring person. She had a genuine smile that touched anyone she came in contact with and a sense of humor that would keep you laughing from time to time. Her jovial personality will long live in our hearts and souls.
Although Diane will be greatly missed by her family and friends, we thank God for the lives she was able to touch.
She was predeceased by son, Keith Boggs and brother, Samuel Nichols.
Diane leaves to mourn her sweet memories: sons, Kenneth Boggs, Jr. (Tracy) of Temperanceville, VA and Kevin Boggs (Keaundra Harvey) of Hopeton, VA; daughter-in-law, Naomi Boggs of Smyrna, DE; thirteen grandchildren; twenty-nine great-grandchildren; sister, Mary (Alex) Peterson of Las Vegas, NV; sister-in-law, Betty Nichols of Philadelphia, PA; brother-in-law, Samuel Boggs, Sr. of Accomac, VA; a special friend, sister, and caregiver, Pastor Sallie Heath of Parksley, VA; special caretaker whom she called her niece, Keyatta “Shay” Flemming of Parksley, VA; and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, and friends.
