Lillie Mae Cropper entered into eternal rest at Heritage Hall Nursing Center in Nassawadox, Virginia on February 13, 2018. She was born on December 19, 1926 to the late Banton and Martha Lewis Cropper in Temperanceville, Virginia.
Lillie received her education in the public schools of Accomack County. She entered the workforce early and held many jobs throughout her life. Most of her employment was in the poultry industry, working for P & L and Tyson Foods, to name a few. When she wasn’t working, she enjoyed traveling on Blondie’s Tour Bus line and cruise ships.
Lillie was a member of Jerusalem Baptist Church in Temperanceville, Virginia. She joined the congregation under the leadership of Rev. Benjamin Burton and enjoyed the fellowship.
She was preceded in death by her parents; son, Bobby Lee Sheppard; grandson, Robbie Dennis; and brother, Ira Lee Cropper.
Left to cherish her memories are: her grandsons, Bobbie (Edna) Dennis of Accomac, VA and LaRon (Rebecca) Sheppard of Bear, DE; three granddaughters, Martisha Dennis of Painter, VA, Rhonda Stevenson of Dover, DE and Tammy White of Parksley, VA; nine great-grandchildren, Domine’ Dennis, Domitrell Dennis, Mykha Cropper, Jatiyah Summerville, Shanyse Dennis, Brittany Dennis, Brionna Dennis, Ja’Quan Thomas, and Cameron Sheppard; two great, great-grandchildren, Kylee and Caleb Dennis; caregiver and close friend, Mary Anne Fisher; special friends, Sara Smith and Elmira Marshall; and a host of other relatives and friends.
